In today’s day and age, finding a new fuel source for a car is a must. While some people may not believe the steam car is the way to go, electric cars are the next best thing.

While a steam engine car is very old fashion, let’s move to where cars are headed currently, electric cars. Electric car motors are very efficient motors used in cars today as an attempt to save the environment. Electric powered cars work by using electricity to spin an electromagnetic field in the Induction motor which causes the rotor to turn, this creates AC power. This AC power is what fuels the engine of the car. The reason this is the way of the future is because of the fact AC power levels stay constant in powering the car. This is the reason why videos of a Tesla racing any gas-powered car results with the Tesla winning, this is because gas power is only sufficient at certain levels of torque which is why they shift gears but electric motors have a constant torque from the constant spinning of the rotor. While this may not seem like a big deal, think of this in the big picture. Where gas cars burn through fuel to speed up, electric cars have straight power meaning they don’t waste fuel because their always utilizing the engine 100%, unlike an internal combustion engine. Since we live in a time where global warming is a large issue, saving energy and polluting less is a big deal. Using electric cars is not only better for the environment in the fuel source aspect of the cars, but they also work smarter, not burning through fuel like Internal combustion cars. Again, while it may not seem like a big deal, long-term, these energy saving systems are saving our environment.
