The smartphones can do…

  • Video Chat (for meetings)
  • Mobile banking
  • Send files

These features can benefit us in many different ways, but we always need one common factor. Cell-service dictates how much we really can achieve with these devices. Universal cell-service nationwide would be crucial for the workplace.

Now you might say the overall coverage now is just fine. While that might be true, there are many factors that argue against that. If you’re surrounded by a bunch of people on their phones, you will not be able to get any reception. When traveling, (excluding air travel) there’s a good chance you’ll experience a number of dead zones, and if you’re working on something and have not saved it recently, you may lose your work. When doing your job, having to worry about whether the message/file will send is something that should be avoided.

With more and more companies subbing out laptops for smartphones, we should hope the future entales a more reliable service. How can this happen…

  • Install more towers along major rail and highways
  • Have a program to give best service with the greater need

The future of smartphones is something to look forward to as it will help workers be more efficient with their use of time.
