Nabith realizes the potential for the system to also serve as a communication network.

Lee Martin explores Habitat-34, noting its varied architecture and commercial spaces. She encounters Marco Lagorio, who explains the different classes of habitat rings: Class C (500m radius): holds about 500,000 people, Class D (1000m radius): holds up to 20 million people, Class F (2500m radius): can hold over 50 million people. Marco discusses the challenges of evacuating Earth, mentioning the space elevator capacity as the main bottleneck. They discuss the nano-LED technology used for surface imaging in the habitat.

In conversation between Keel and Delize on Habitat-22, they discuss manners, attraction, and nicknames. Keel mentions his new job assignment with Sonny Barton to set up a rescue service for emergency situations in space. They talk about their martial arts backgrounds and agree to train together.
