Choosing the Correct Fight
But we rarely get to choose
With many battles to choose from, how do we choose? The short answer is we don’t. But should we accept being told with unmistakable clarity that it isn’t our business?
That is the reef that we run aground on repeatedly. There was a time in US history when policy platforms were argued, voted on in party conventions, and matched to presidential candidates. It has been a long time since that happened.
Now, we have one party that has abandoned policies in favor of a detailed plan to dismantle even the vestige of representative government that we have. That is not a policy platform but a plan of conquest and destruction.
The alternative, rolling along with support not seen in years, also lacks policies except what already exists but is joyful and not based on hatred and ignorance. People are so sick of hatred and willful ignorance being fed to us by disgusting assholes that ordinary decent people doing what’s already being done can do no wrong, yet.
The absence of any new policy cannot continue. Harris has been forced to accept the dictates of the White Empire and its oligarchs’ rules. She did not put up much resistance.
