Our unconscious actions of the past have led us to a disturbing present where an island of garbage with a size three times France is floating in the Pacific, and is in our hands (although some say we have reached a point of no return) try not to make it worse and correct the course of it. Tech Insider published a very interesting collection of inventions to be more ecological at home. Here is the list:

Replantable. With its high-efficiency LEDs and ventilated enclosure, the nanofarm provides the perfect environment for growing. The beautiful combination of solid bamboo and powder-coated steel complements any interior, and will last for many years. The growing tray and plant pad holder are made from dishwasher-safe stainless steel.

Zera. Food Recycler that converts 95% of a typical family’s household waste into ready-to-use, homemade fertilizer through a fully automated process in 24 hours.

Precious plastic. Precious Plastic is a global community of hundreds of people working towards a solution to plastic pollution. Knowledge, tools and techniques are shared online, for free.

GoSun. Premium solar ovens and solar cookers that are the ultimate in design, performance, and ease.

Joining Bottles. Joining Bottles is an experimental wood-joining technique using shrunk plastic bottles. By heat, a simple plastic bottle is transformed into a wood bonding material offering a meaningful and accessible way to build functional structures.

Gentle Washer. Caring, sustainable, and convenient device that helps you clean manually your favourite clothes without exposing them to harsh chemicals.

Big Squeeze. System to squeeze every last drop of any tube to not waste anything.

BabyDam. This device acts as a wall in your bathtub and helps you reduce your annual expenses caused by water, heat and money, and at the same time the valuable time of the parents.

Plastic Bottle Cutter. Small tool with which we can turn plastic bottles into rope. We can use any plastic bottle to always have a resistant rope by hand.

Drumi. A better way to wash clothes. Washing system powered by foot to save water and energy.

Altered Nozzle. Products that will change the way you use water and energy. Nozzle that reduces 98% the water in standard faucets.
