Christmas at Lithium
Our plans for the holiday szn…
If you’d have told us 6 months ago, we’d be running a cutting-edge launchpad, doing over $1m dollars in TTV per month, with over 11000 holders and a marketcap over $10m, we’d have had a hard time believing it.
The reality is, in an incredibly small period of time, we’ve managed to ride the crypto mega-trend. Through a combination of hard work, a great community, excellent launchpad projects, and a bit of good luck, we are now in a solid position moving into 2022.
In this post, we’d like to outline what we are going to be doing over this Christmas period. Traditionally, this is a period of rest, a period of reflection, a period to think more expansively, without the day to day stressors of a normal year.
During the next couple of weeks, you can expect a slightly more lethargic pace from Lithium. We will still continue to work behind the scenes as always, but just as bears need to hibernate we’ll be prioritising things slightly differently….
Priority 1 — Restore the Mental and Physical Health of Team Lithium
Noone can work flat out forever, it’s not sustainable. These last few months have been incredibly trying for all at Team Lithium, we’ve grown at such a rapid rate, the only answer to keep up with demand has been to work harder, faster, and longer.
We need to make sure we smash 2022 out of the park — and that begins by ensuring we are all in the right state of mind to do so.
Over Christmas, the founding team will be taking some much needed time off, (you can see our Holiday rota below). We’ll be using this time to be with our families, get out into nature, read, write, whatever we do to restore our energy.
Over the long run, this period of reduced activity will be good for the project, we will come back in the new year charged up and ready to go.
Of course, our investors are as much a part of Team Lithium, as we are, and while we’re not you dads, we know how exhausting trading in early-crypto can be. So for god's sake take some time for yourself — delete Telegram for a few days, be with the people you care about and switch the screen for the great outdoors!
Priority 2 — Put our House in Order
Jeff Bezos famously took one year at Amazon, before they IPO’d, where the whole focus was to put their house in order. The vision shifted from focusing on revenue to making everything efficient, to put processes in place, in short, to prepare the company for scale.
Being as early as we are, we don’t have the luxury of a full year to do this, but we do have a couple of weeks over the festive period to focus on some of the tasks that usually wouldn’t get as much of our attention
We are bringing in an operations expert to help streamline all our processes, we will focus on creating repeatable, automated workstreams for things such as IDOs, incubated companies marketing efforts, and hiring. In the short term, this may take a couple of weeks, but the long term implications will set us up for scalable success.
On the product side, it’s a similar story. Rather than building out loads of new features, we’ll be tidying up the codebase, refactoring, optimising code, pen-testing and the like. We don’t want to build up too much technical debt as in the new year it's going to be paramount we innovate, so let’s make sure our basics work really well.
Priority 3 — Keep the Community Engaged
Usually, this would be our first priority, for the holiday season it’s going to drop, but it will still be something we put effort into. Throughout Christmas expect a slightly more relaxed level of engagement from the mods and the founding team. Rather than 1000 messages a day on the Telegram, we will focus on a few key IDO announcements, a few great articles, and maybe a video or two for good measure.
We won’t be reaching out for partnerships, running mad amounts of giveaways, or having loads of shilling competitions over the holiday period. Investor updates and the newsletter will continue, as usual, the focus will be on pushing out quality, high signal content at this time.
It’s been an incredible 6 months and we are so pleased you’ve joined us on this journey. If you’ve diamond handed through the rough and the smooth, or if you’ve just joined us, take a couple of weeks to relax. You’re part of a project with great fundamentals, that’s weathered a few flash crashes and is now beginning to turn the flywheel of growth.
We are so excited about what 2022 can bring, here’s to it…
