This week has been about one thing — competitions. Many of our clients have been asking for it, and we wanted to do it right. Here’s everything you need to know about competitions on Lithium.

The Problem

Running competitions can be a great way to engage communities. You can reward people for creative memes, you can recognise people’s skills in using your product or game, and you can also give clout to the most active community members.

The way most competitions are currently run in web3 is far from ideal. Users have to work their way through a convoluted gleam or google sheet to enter, they then have to wait with little to no communication, before seeing if they’ve won, with rewards usually sent by airdrop.

It’s a disjointed experience. We can do better

The Solution

Projects will now be able to run competitions directly through their Lithium dashboard. They can set the prize, the maximum number of winners, and a description of the competition.

Projects will then create missions, that link to the competition/giveaway. These missions will reward community members with entries into the competition. Members will clearly see the progress of their missions and entries and when the competition ends.

Projects will then upload the winner results and members will be able to see if they’ve one or not, and claim their prize directly through the platform! Everything is taken care of end-to-end in one place.

What’s Next 👀

Tune in next week, we might be dropping a completely revamped homepage and more — you heard it here first!
