The 2020 iPad Pro…Apple’s Unfinished Masterpiece💣

Apple will try to tell you that the iPad Pro is a laptop. I got a secret…it isn’t even close. How do I know you say? Because Apple tried this pitch before with the iPad Pro 2018 and I believed them.

The iPad Pro is as far from a laptop computer as as a smartphone is to a smart watch. Kinda harsh you say? It won’t be if it gets your attention👀

Apple is attempting to convert the iPad Pro into a laptop with strong augmented reality capability. But it’s not there yet…not even close. The keyboard will feel like a laptop if you spend the $300 — $350 asking price.

In a head scratching move by Apple the keyboard isn’t out till May so you will have to spend money on a temp case until then. That could cost you up to $200 if you want an Apple Smart Keyboard Folio. What’s funny is the $300-$350 *Magic* keyboard is almost more than an Apple Watch…yeah more Apple overpricing. But it still will feel limited because without Mac OS the features most of us use a 💻 for won’t even be there.

Apple convinced me that the previous version was a laptop too and then I realized it is just an overpriced tablet. The design is nice and the Apple Pencil 2 is actually worth every penny. But it never even came close to being a laptop. They put a full version of Adobe Photoshop on there and it sucks. Look at the rating in the App Store.

Apple is just trying to convince you to buy a product that is not a technical necessity. It is a luxury unless you make games or play games on your iPad for some purpose.

For a tablet it is pretty nice. A lot of tech people don’t mention that it has a 120HZ screen refresh rate which is amazing. It has the same battery life as the 2018 model which is impressive because of the power draining display. It has a Lidar sensor for augmented reality which is interesting but I’m not sure how useful that is. It also added a 10mp ultra wide camera. It has a super fast processor called the, “A12Z Bionic chip” and a sleek design.

But alas a laptop it is not and when you are promoting it as if it works as well as one it is dishonest. I like Apple but I’m gonna pass on this one. Besides I need a laptop…not a tablet😉
