Plato and Aristotle

Welcome to the 21st Century. We have practically everything you can think of, right?

You’re hungry? Great, check out Uber Eats or Postmates. Need a ride? Uber and Lyft? Need to live in a society where basic ethics, morals, and virtues are taught to encourage a better way of living? Uhh…maybe we don’t have an app for that.

Philosophy

Philosophy is one of those subjects people tell you to avoid; it doesn’t make any money.

Philosophy is the study of a broad range of subjects such as the mind, consciousness, morality, ethics, existence, .etc.

For our purposes as a society, we have decided to ignore the teachings of philosophers from thousands of years ago. Why? Well, we have Facebook and Uber. If they were so smart, how come they didn’t come up with what we have now?

While there are many arguments to that question, we can be rest assured that our society isn’t really as great as we think it is.

Societal Problems

Loneliness and depression are sky-rocketing worldwide, as we have plunged ourselves into a deep technological chasm, in which we find ourselves stranded alone, plucking away at our phones.

How can Philosophy help?
