I just returned from Japan, where our Future Food Institute team and our incredible partners have been diligently preparing for RegenerAction Japan. This initiative is at the heart of our mission: to foster integral ecological regeneration, ensuring that environmental health and human prosperity reinforce each other.

Integral Ecological Regeneration

It seems easy to talk about it when you come to Pollica for a week, immerse yourself in “Mediterranean Living” for a few days, taste the magic of Cilento, discover the famous “elixir of long life” — the “Mediterranean Diet” — change pace, go at a slow pace, immersed in unspoiled nature where centenarian grandparents represent the living icon of good living… but how do you imagine healthy communities, animated by the same values and nourished by the same sap everywhere in the world — even in megacities?

At Future Food Institute, we are driven by curiosity and action. We are “actionists,” creating Living Labs where we experiment, study, and learn from our mistakes. Our goal is to bring the values of a balanced and sustainable lifestyle back to the forefront of our societal priorities.

A Systemic Approach

Achieving this goal requires a systemic approach that addresses multiple factors and involves the entire community across all generations. Every aspect must be considered, from long-term political visions to the deepest ecological consciousness, citizen health, and social development. We must also preserve cultural heritages to nurture creativity and human development while maintaining economic balance and fostering widespread prosperity.

Developing Scalable Models

Our primary objective is to develop scalable models that balance ecological integrity with human progress. This balance is crucial for addressing today’s pressing environmental challenges.

Why RegenerAction?

RegenerAction is our response to the urgent need for systemic regeneration. We are uniting global thought leaders to explore solutions in several key areas:

  • Regenerative Models: From agriculture to health, and from economy to life.
  • Algorithm of Longevity: Investigating the intricate connections between environmental factors and diets that promote long, healthy lives.
  • Energy Transition and Digital Transition: Embracing sustainable energy and digital innovations to drive forward ecological integrity.

Regeneration: Our Core Mission

To us, regeneration means restoring the vitality of our planet and its people. This encompasses sustainable food systems, environmental stewardship, and human health. We draw inspiration from leadership and real-world examples. We are dedicated to creating a new narrative for a sustainable future.

Gratitude and Excitement

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our Japanese partners and our dedicated team. Together, we are making significant strides towards a regenerative future.

Join Us: Mark Your Calendars

We are thrilled to announce that on November 25, we will kick off the International Climate Shapers Bootcamp — a week-long immersion into climate action and sustainability.

Let’s embark on this journey of regeneration together!

The Future Food Institute is an international social enterprise and the cornerstone of the Future Food Ecosystem, a collection of research labs, partnerships, initiatives, platforms, networks, entrepreneurial projects, and academic programs that aim to build a more equitable world through enlightening a world-class breed of innovators, boosting entrepreneurial potential, and improving agri-food expertise and tradition.

Future food advocates for positive change through initiatives in Waste & Circular Systems, Water Safety & Security, Climate, Earth Regeneration, Mediterranean Foodscape, Nutrition for All, Humana Communitas, and Cities of the Future as we catalyze progress toward achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
