Artist Introduction:
DUCAT is a music producer from the Netherlands, who releases Future Funk, Vaportrap and other kinds of electronic music. He is know in the FF community for his tape Groovez on Tiger Blood Tapes, and his most recent announcement New Retro on Coraspect.
AMA:
Q: When did you start the making of FF?
I started making future funk i think almost 2 years ago, but ended up releasing stuff later.
Q: What got you into music
I was inspired first to become a dj, there are a lot of festivals and big shows out here, and i remember falling in love seeing bits of sensation on tv and wanted to play music aswell.
Q: Whats one of the greatest moments you ever had in your musical career?
Working with others and being inspired working with fellow artists/producers on music is the best. I think for me being able to put out a physical release was one of the top moments for sure.
Q: What Daw do you use?
Im on fl studio but i know my way around logic pro aswell.
Q: Are you hoping to visit and meet other European artists and if so who would you really like to collaborate or do a show with?
Yea forsure i love to work with others and if were able to make a party would be super dope, i think sparkly night and remlarr are pretty close to here.
Q: What is the meaning behind your username DUCAT?
Well DUCAT started out as a project for me to do whatever i feel like and it began with making vaporwave and cloudrap type trap beats around 2014, i wanted something that refferenced old roman aesthetics for the vaporwave side and something to do with money for the beat side and ended up with the name DUCAT.
Reminds me of the guy called Roman
I know him, might make some music with him sometime. Actually send him something a little while back but havent heard anything since about a week or 2 last time we spoke.
Q: Do you have any last words?
