Blockchain technology took the digital world by storm in 2009, when it debuted as a digital ledger for a new form of currency i.e Bitcoin. Since then, it is being regarded as one of the most breakthrough technologies ever since the internet and therefore, is used to reshape the way business is done in industries ranging from finance and healthcare to supply chain and government.
Smart cities worldwide are using blockchain as a technology to enhance urban living and welfare. But the existing blockchains (like EOS, Ethereum or TRON) might now solve the hurdles towards bringing blockchain to everyday life because of the issues of security, speed and scalability. That’s why the Sigmachain presented their innovative blockchain technology as a solution that can be used to provide smart city experience to Korean citizens and visitors. The idea was presented at the “5th Level X Open Tech Day” conference in Busan, South Korea.
