Futurepia Based DApp “Camp Global” Secured 1st Place at TryAngle
Team Futurepia is happy and pleased to announce that Camp Global, a DApp based on Futuerpia, was awarded 1st place at the TryAngle Dapp contest for their efforts to serve undeveloped parts of the world.
About Camp Global
Camp Global’s driving idea is based on the old proverb; “Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man how to fish and you feed him for a lifetime”.
With that in mind, they aim to use solar energy panels to create communities that support infrastructures for clean water, electricity, and hygiene. Within these communities they aim to create an ecosystem dependent upon stable crypto-tokens.
While giving an interview to the TryAngle, the co-founder Seyoung Cha said,
There are two ways to help people in need. The first way is to give them food and water as a donation. But these kinds of donations are not the best options as once these goods are finished, the people in need would again wait for other donations to come and the cycle goes on. On the other hand, Camp Global supports the establishment of “Self-supporting economy” in rural area of underdeveloped countries is the short cut to end the poverty, and to share the decent human life.
After securing the 1st place at the TryAngle, the CEO Seyoung Cha gave an interview where he answered various questions like,
Q) There are various donating platforms in existence. Why people should buy the Camp Global tokens for donating purposes?
A) At Camp Global, we don’t provide a bottle of water, but we create infrastructure from clean solar energy. If you donate water, clothes or food, these items will last for a while and after that people would have to depend on others to send these items, but we believe in ‘teaching them how to fish’. Within the camps, we have created an infrastructure to provide electricity through solar power, make water drinkable — making it a self-sustaining economic system. In traditional ways of donating money, you don’t know if your money has been distributed to the right person or no, but when it comes to Camp Global, owing to the nature of blockchain, all the transactions are stored on the incorruptible ledgers and there is not a single change of fraud.
Q) Why do you burn 35% of the coins?
A) Camp Global’s ecosystem makes the double effect of activation and value increase through demand increase by repurchasing, and supply decrease by burning.
