As we are quickly approaching 2020, let’s take a look back at 2019 and some of the major events that shaped Futurepia!

1 — SNAC Launches ( Reward sharing social media application)

SNAC is the first of its kind of blockchain-based social media app that rewards both the content creators and content curators! It is a decentralized application with both web and mobile platforms, based on Sigmachain’s public mainnet, Futurepia. SNAC is a different type of social media network as it rewards not only the content producers but also the content viewers! With a beautiful UI/UX design, various stunning features, and huge rewards; SNAC is easily the best alternative to Steemit.

2 — Sigmachain Network Alliance Launches

On March 7th, Sigmachain launched its “Sigmachain Network Alliance” project to educate others on blockchain, to offer their mainnet services to others, and to expand the blockchain ecosystem in not only Korea but all over the world. With dozens of great companies on board, this is the biggest blockchain alliance in Korea!

3 — PASTA Protocol Launches

On June 18th, Futurepia launched the PASTA protocol. PASTA or (PIA Alliance Standard Token Agreement) is a technical protocol used for all smart contracts on Futurepia — similar to Ethereum’s ERC-20 which was created for token implementation.

4 — PIA Coin Listed on Multiple Top Exchanges

5 — SNAC Sponsored Korean Hip-hop Concert

SNAC proudly sponsored a K-hiphop concert that was organized by the Culture Festival Organizing Committee in April. During the concert, Sigmachain’s first blockchain social media application “SNAC” was promoted to the crowds of young attendees.

6 — Futurepia’s 2nd DApp, LFIX, Launches

Futurepia launched its 2nd DApp, called LFIX Shop, on its platform. LFIX Shop is a beauty product shopping platform that has secured a competitive price through a zero-fee charging model.

7 — Business Agreements with Multiple Organizations Signed

Sigmachain signed various MoUs in 2019. Here is a list of a few of them:

8 — Mainnet Selected For Busan Blockchain Regulation Free Zone

In July, the South Korean government declared Busan a ‘Blockchain Regulation Free Zone’. Sigmachain (CEO Kwak Jin-young), with its next-generation mainstream mainnet, was selected to supply a mainnet for a marine logistics system.

9 — SNAC Upgraded (New Features Launched)

After SNAC was launched, various features have been added and the app has been upgraded with several new and exciting options.

Game > People can play SNAC games

Fork > Users can participate in YES/NO survey questions for rewards

Video Ads > Users can insert ads on their videos and get rewarded

Website version launched > The SNAC website was launched

PIA to SNAC > PIA to SNAC coin exchange was added

10 — Conferences

11 — Futurepia’s DApp “Camp Global” secured 1st Place

Futurepia’s third DApp, Camp Global, participated in the TryAngle DApp contest and won first place. Camp Global is a blockchain-based startup focused on eliminating poverty and economic inequalities in various parts of the world, beginning with certain areas in Africa.

12 — Cafe de SNAC Launched

Cafe de SNAC was finally opened to the public on October 21st. This cafe is a space for SNAC enthusiasts to meet, share their latest feeds, and enjoy FREE coffee. Thanks to Cafe de SNAC, customers now can pay for their iced americanos using SNAC.

13 — Cafe de SNAC’s 2nd Branch Opens in Busan named “Tea4You”

Cafe de SNAC already opened its main branch in Gangnam, the heart of Seoul, but now it is expanding its business in other Korean cities, as well! Cafe de SNAC just opened its second branch, “Tea4you”, in Busan, the second largest city in Korea. Click here for details.

14 —Investment Agreement with USAKO Group

Sigmachain is proud to announce that on the 12th of November, an Investment Contract with the USAKO Group was signed. The purpose of the contact is to raise around USD 10 million in investment funds to cooperate on and enter the US market.
