Dear Futurepia and SNAC Community Members

In order to protect your SNAC and Futurepia account from hacking threats, it is always recommended to setup the 2-Factor Authentication to Futurepia/SNAC application.

What is a 2-Factor Authentication? (Google OTP)

Two Factor Authentication, or 2FA, is an extra layer of protection used to ensure the security of online accounts beyond just a username and password. It is a security process in which the user provides two different authentication factors to verify themselves to better protect both the user’s credentials and the resources the user can access.

There are various apps/software/plugins used for this purpose but the most common and easiest one is Google Authenticator. Futurepia/SNAC also use Google Authenticator’s OTP (One Time Password) feature to help you secure your account. You can download the app from both the iOS Appstore and Google Play.

The installation is quite simple and we will walk you through the whole process step by step.

How to setup Google Authenticator for SNAC

  1. Install the Google Authenticator app and login with your Gmail account
  2. Go to SNAC > Setting > My Account > OTP and click ‘Verify’

3. Scan the QR code or copy the code shown in front of QR-code.

4. After that go to Google Authenticator, click Add > Enter a Provided Key > Enter the code copied earlier

5. Copy the OTP Code shown on Google Authenticator. Go back to SNAC OTP Screen and paste it on the SNAC where it says “ENTER OTP CODE

And that’s it. You have successfully set up OTP with SNAC. Please note that since Futurepia and SNAC are linked, you don’t have to do the whole process on Futurepia.

Please note that you must have to enable 2-Factor Authentication in order to send PIA or SNAC coins to anyone or to any exchange.
