Today, Fysical is excited to announce our new data monetization partnership with Airbloc Protocol, a decentralized personal data protocol. Because both Airbloc and Fysical are targeting the consumer data space, we are joining forces to lead a rapidly growing decentralized data ecosystem.

There are notable similarities between the two protocols, Fysical and Airbloc. For example, both companies have been working with mobile data via integrations with mobile applications for the past few years and have strong technical and business experience in data collection and data licensing. Our shared experience in this regard will help to pave a new path forward in the booming consumer data industry.

Data Monetization Partner

Fysical, with a focus on real-world location and human movement data, will be Airbloc’s data monetization partner for this type of data. Applications that integrate Airbloc’s Software Develop Kit (SDK) will provide an option for consumers to opt-in to sharing their location and movement data, which can be monetized through Fysical’s location data marketplace. Soon, more real-world datasets, such as transaction data, will also be monetized through Fysical, opening up new opportunities and revenue streams for an even deeper partnership.

Fysical has already established the groundwork and has rapidly scaled a decentralized location data marketplace which allows Airbloc’s data contributors to begin monetizing location and movement data immediately after Airbloc’s launch.

Fysical currently has 1000 data suppliers who contribute more than 15 billion data points from over 10 million mobile devices around the world every month. Our collaboration in a shared industry creates a win-win situation.

Together, Fysical and Airbloc look forward to leading the next generation of consumer data protection and monetization.
