The facts are simple, the process feels complicated, but the solutions may be easier to achieve than we let ourselves believe. People don’t know what to eat, how to eat, what to choose or even how to cook. And since eating is such a quintessential need for human health, yet most people don’t fully understand how to navigate the world of food and health, let alone cooking, the common consumer or the “everyday eater” if you will, stands in this weird dichotomy between honest human need and clear human lack.

We lack the knowledge and awareness on how to nourish our bodies and brains, yet we know we need to eat to live. And most people go through life while knowing how to prepare only a few simple foods like ramen or spaghetti, grilled cheese or a ham sandwich, tuna salad or mac ‘n cheese.

Our limited abilities to feed ourselves are not due in part to our own personal failures, but rather an amalgamation of shortcomings overtime, in which our species enamored by technology, innovation, and novelty, we lost our roots — the same roots that ground us and many of the real foods we were designed to consume.
