LeBron’s Team Is Failing Him and Here’s Why

When it comes to sports, I’m pretty optimistic, to say the least, but I can’t say I didn’t see this one coming. LeBron James finished that night with 23 Points on 43% shooting, 12 Rebounds, and 9 assists in 41 minutes of play time vs the defending champs, the Golden State Warriors last night in a game which they lost by 15. Now I’m gonna be 100% and I’m not gonna sit here and say he had a career game and single-handedly carried the team because he didn’t, but to drop 1 assist shy of a triple-double and lose by 15 compared to the “Unanimous MVP” who had 11 is pretty pathetic on his teams end. When LeBron left the game with 34 seconds in the third they were trailing by 3, he reentered down 14 with 10 minutes to go to the left in the fourth, That’s pathetic. Let’s take a look more in depth.

In that span he was out, the Cavs went 1–4 with 1 TO, and took a 3 point deficit and turned it into 14 with LBJ off the court. Last night the “professional” basketball team, the Cleveland Cavaliers shot 38.1 % from the field on 32/84 shots including LeBron. Taking out LeBrons 43% (9–21) they shot 36% on 23/63 from the floor and 29% from 3 without LeBron’s 2–4 from beyond the Arc. LeBron’s “other stars” and his “superstar help” Kyrie and Love combined for 14/39 from the floor and 3/9 from 3. That’s 33% from 3 and-and 36% from the field. That’s pathetic. LeBron does have to cut down on turnovers, but his fellow “superstars” were just as bad in that category, so we can let that slide — but they all need to cut that down to win.

As far as the bench play goes, we knew the Warriors bench would demolish Cleveland’s, but what we saw last night was pathetic. The Cleveland Cavaliers bench COMBINED took only 10 shots and accumulated 6 total rebounds and 1 assist. The bench attributed for 9 total points of Cleveland’s 89, that’s atrocious. Cleveland’s starters like mentioned before didn’t play so well either, especially JR Smith who seemed to have cold feet last night only taking 3 shots compared to trigger happy Tristan Thompson’s 11 (Not saying Tristan Played bad, or good he had a “decent” game).

“LeBron’s Co-Stars” got absolutely BAKED on defense last night. Kyrie Irving let Shaun Livingston, that’s right SHAUN LIVINGSTON drop 20 on him in the NBA finals. Kevin Love literally gave no effort on defense outside of two plays, after that the paint had an open invitation. Tristan Thompson got exploited by Curry and Green, but that’s bound to happen and you are going to live and die by that because those players are all-stars — but getting baked by Shaun Livingston and Leandro Barbosa is NOT acceptable Kyrie and JR.

All in all, LeBron didn’t have some incredible game either but almost having a triple double plus his stellar defense last night is miles better than what the rest of the team did. If the Cav’s want any shot to win this thing, Game 2 must be theirs. They need to clique and let Curry and Klay beat them, not Shaun Livingston and Leandro Barbosa.
