Heartless Shrine~

Written between the lines upon my face
Deepened scars of my life’s story
Sadness finds me in this place
Gone now are my days of glory
The mark from the nails still on my hands
Trying to adjust my bloodstained crown of misery

And I would bleed for you
I would walk on nails for you
I would slice my heart in equal parts
Do whatever I needed to save you
But I just can’t save you from you
 
I would walk onto your cross
I would sacrifice me for you
I would hold my breath until you say not to
I would jump without a parachute for two
If it meant saving you
There is no limit to the things I’d do

Here I lay broken, body, spirit and mind
My flesh crying out, no answer from the divine
My only rescue now dependent on you being kind
