Freedom

Live Science suggests that freedom is “the power to act, speak, or think as one wants without hindrance and restraint,” and it means almost the same as liberty. “We yearn for freedom perhaps because we yearn to live in accordance with our own natures,” said Christopher Stephen Koch. However, freedom with no limits can be construed as selfishness. Let me expand on this more with a current situation. People without a doubt have the freedom to choose to wear face masks or not during the 2020 pandemic. However, by not wearing them, the situation has worsened and the transmission of COVID-19 has increased. The sheer recklessness of this very act is a strong example of freedom with no limits. A Chinese idiom correctly expounds that freedom should be established without interfering another’s well being. In conclusion, freedom is the right to do anything a person wants without harming others or society at large.
