In this nation, they have a cruel game called” Hunger Games” that is held annually. Katniss, a slim medium height teenager, is described as having” straight black hair, olive skin, and grey eyes.” In order to keep her family from starving, she uses her skills as an anchor to hunt and trap. Her unconditional love for her sister leads to Katniss bravely volunteering on behalf of her younger sister before the tribute; therefore participating in this life-threatening game. Although Katniss Everdeen is a fictional character, her extraordinary story and heroism are truly inspiring. She becomes a beacon for people to follow when trying to overcome tough times.
