Hidden Desire

One of my favorite photos is this publicity photo of my last theatrical production in 2019, Venus in Fur. In this photo, our main character, is reading a novel, Faust, while the girl is lying on stacks of books. This photo is full of symbols and tension. She is an incarnation of Desire and Seduction. The contrasting effect created by the books and the girl is meant to present the mental struggle of our main character. He wants to be a calm, reserved intellectual, whereas deep down in his heart, he craves for the dark, physical satisfaction. It was one of the most liked photos on our Facebook page, which was even published in Marie Claire, which is one of the most famous fashion magazines in Taiwan. I believe that over time, this photo will still be the most memorable part of this production!
