Meet Edmund!…’s Portfolio

Meet Edmund’s portfolio — he’s got a lot of C.R.A.P. going on.

It’s simple, sexy, and inspirational. Here’s why!

First my eyes go to the tabs at the top of his site. Clear, concise and simple words I can understand immediately. Want to look at his resume? Click on “Resume!” How about honorable mentions he’s had at those places on his resume? Click on “Mentions!” With the simple but apparent contrast, you’ll know exactly which tab you’re on due to the single-selection underlining.

There’s also consistency, or repetition, between all the different tabs. I recognize the emphasis of certain words and topics based on size and shading as it’s consistent throughout his site.

One exception, if you click on “UX Portfolio,” you’ll see that there is only one hyperlink in the sub-header, and it’s not a selection — it’s just the only one available. I find that a bit confusing.

I dig the alignment — lots of open space, though not wasted, letting my eyes focus on one work at a time. Like an art gallery!

Leading me to proximity — when you click on the “Process” tab, you’re able to tell which text is aligned with which image. There’s no confusion there with the spacing. Much appreciated, Edmund.

Two awesome calls of action — loved the arrow pointing right on every page (except the last) that allowed you to click on and lead you to the following page. Easy to understand and unique without being overly avant-garde.

And, I loved that the top bar with the tabs always stayed still on the page, allowing me to jump around efficiently whenever I wanted.

Thanks for the inspo, E!
