One Last Hurrah

This past week we were assigned our final project — one for a real life client. Needles to say, I’m pumped (WOO!). In short, we’re designing a presentation platform for attorneys, one that allows the user to display interactivity in data visualizations while presenting.

The kickoff went really well, we met with the client on Monday, learned about their business, what UX problem they’re facing and gathered requirements for the project. From there, we planned backwards — carving out time for research, sketching/prototyping, and hi-fi mockups for the 3ish weeks of class time we have left. Currently, we’re in middle of research, which has had it’s obstacles, and just started the very first of the sketching/ideating.

Overall, I feel like taking the half-hour or so to do nothing but plan and organize our thoughts and schedule was well worth it. Getting it all down on paper allows the team to focus. I feel v calm.

Can’t wait to see what we come up with…
