A discussion on the benefits and challenges to the widely used underlined link, and its effect on readability. Conventionally, underlined links are an easy cue to readers where links are located. However, some places like Google are dropping underlined links in favor of using color to differentiate to “improve readability and create an overall cleaner look.”
