I bill myself as a guy that operates at the crossroads of many different disciplines. Part design, part sales, part marketing, part operations, part strategy. Certain days all of those things collide into a worldwind of context switching. This was one of those days.

I thought it would be fun (and therapeutic) to make a list of the software / apps I used in a single day. One of my pet peeves in life is when people put themselves into buckets. That is, they think they can only be good in one practice at the expense of another. I’m here to tell you that isn’t true. The more you pursue being good at a combination of things, the more invaluable you will be.

To limit this list I’m only listing software that I provided input to and excluding things like internet browsers and operating systems. I’m also excluded are mobile apps. That another whole post. :)

There is a bunch of software that didn’t make the list for today but I still use regularly like: Keynote, Dropbox, Dropbox Paper, Messages, Photoshop, Fotolia, Product Hunt, Atom, Github and the Terminal.

Don’t let anyone tell you that because you are good at math you can’t be good at design. Or because you are good at analytics you can’t sell. You can do all those things and likely many more.

Happy Tuesday.
