Gaest what’s coming to Australia?

Gaest.com prepares for Australian launch

In less than three months, the Danish-founded startup has already enlisted more than 70 spaces in Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne to join the fight to make it easier, faster and better to book spaces for meetings, workshops and seminars. And with travel tech guru Johnny Thorsen acting as a strategic advisor, rapid growth is afoot.

Gaest.com, the Airbnb style marketplace for finding and booking unique and quirky spaces for meetings, workshops and the like, is gearing up for their official launch in Australia next month. And with the first 65 spaces from Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne already listed, the anticipation is high.

“Being able to onboard so many spaces in such a short timespan proves that venues in Australia are eager to adopt the new and innovative approach to discovering and booking meeting spaces that we represent,” says Gaest.com’s strategic advisor Johnny Thorsen, a leading expert on travel tech and prominent figure in Australia’s travel industry.

From courtyards to boardrooms

Aussie-based users will be met with a myriad of spaces that run the gamut from a relaxed courtyard pavilion near Sydney’s central business district to 6-star boardrooms in the heart of Melbourne’s banking and financial district.

“We’re keen on offering as much variety as possible, especially when entering a new market,” says COO Thomas Frederiksen. “From here, we can hone in on what types of spaces perform best and what needs to be changed,” he adds.

Take the pain out of finding and booking spaces

Gaest.com is designed to make it easier and faster for time-strapped business professionals to find a wide range of spaces for every need — a one-stop-shop for spaces.

“Our customers range from freelancers who are tired of meeting in noisy cafes to global corporations who are looking to pump new life into their meetings by hosting them in an exciting space offsite”, says CMO Corey Morris.

The challenge, he adds, is that it’s not only hard to find these types of spaces, but it’s nearly impossible to book and pay for them online. That’s something Gaest.com hopes to change in Australia (as well as a number of other markets that the company is launching this year).
