Cats are strange and wonderful creatures. Over the past few months, I have been entertained by my cat Brody becoming obsessed with watching TV. Nature documentaries are his favorite followed by kids cartoons.
I recorded a calming hour-long program that shows nature with music to help people relax or fall asleep. His favorite episode is set at the beach. A few birds perch on a wooden barrier whilst in the background the waves gently lap the shore.
Brody is hooked on it! He jumps up onto the TV cabinet and sits right in front of the TV watching the birds. Every time the bird flies off, he attempts to catch it and strike at the TV. He walks behind the TV as if to find the poor bird.
A few minutes later the bird returns to the wooden barrier. Once again, the stalking begins. Every little movement is remembered in his little cat brain. Again, the bird flies off this time for good and a second attack to the TV screen ensues. Another walk around the back of the TV to double check the bird didn’t fall behind and returns to stare at the waves on the beach.
