The heart is the foundation
Laying at the bottom
Of the ruins.
The heart is still intact
The heart is still strong
The heart still has deep reach
The heart can still be felt
The heart can still be seen.
When heart and spirit meet
The walls of strength and joy
Are rebuilt.
When heart and spirit meet
Together they reach for
Which was always true.
When heart and spirit meet
Divinity is impossible to refute.
When heart and spirit meet
Divinity is impossible to deny.
When heart and spirit meet
The soul becomes boundless
And dreams and love and joy
Become that which is true.
When heart and spirit meet
The soul is unwavering
And life is alive again.
When heart and spirit meet
The soul joins them
Embraces them
And life is alive with
The fire of breath and living.
The heart is the foundation
The spirit is the Divine
The soul is the home
Withstanding space and time.
