In this economy, having just one job to cover all expenses can prove difficult, depending on where you live. You may also find yourself unemployed at the moment and still looking for work. Whatever your situation may be, remember to be kind to yourself as you continue to look for good financial opportunities.

I created a list of side hustles you can have in the meantime or to complement a job you may already have in order to make ends meet:

  1. Creating custom shirts online (& sometimes, the company does the shipping work for you).
  2. If you are good at digital art, you can make Coloring Printable Pages or an Ebook and sell it on Etsy, Amazon & also sell it on Social Media (Facebook & Instagram shops).
  3. Create a Youtube channel to teach people how to cook different types of recipes. You don’t even have to show your face but it helps personalize you. After a certain amount of views, Youtube pays you.
  4. Create an app for something people can use especially if its an idea that hasn’t been done before. Charge a small fee for it and watch instant income grow.
  5. Create your own small business on the side based on something you love and you are good at. Make sure to have a business plan, some business cards and an EIN number registered with the IRS department (if in the USA)!
  6. Get paid to write poetry on websites like: TheSunMagazine.com ($100–200), ChickenSoup.com ($200), TheSouthernReview.com ($50–200), PoetryFoundation.org ($150).
  7. Resell Web Hosting.
  8. Create a Job Board where people pay a small fee for access to the jobs you find on the internet.
  9. Become a Virtual Assistant and help people manage their social media accounts and more.

10. Offer Resume Help for a fee.

11. Start a Dog Walking or Grooming Business. Make sure to have a rate sheet that you can show potential clients for the types of services you may offer.

12. Start a Meal Prep channel on Youtube.

13. Sell your old books and textbooks for money at a local bookstore that accepts them in exchange for money.

14. Become a Notary Public for your city/state. You can charge a small fee for every notary you do and you become more valuable to employers in the job market.

15. Driver for Uber or Lyft (or both!)

16. Become a Tax preparer.

17. Start a Podcast on any topic you like on the Spotify app. You get paid after a certain amount of listeners tune in.

18. Become an Online Juror.

19. Sell your homemade crafts or vintage items from your late grandma on Etsy.

20. Rent your home as an Airbnb.

21. Rent your driveway.

I hope this list helps someone out there! Good luck!
