Snakes, Crocodiles And Energy Vampires
What’s the difference?
You may have heard of the phrase ‘snakes in the grass’ or ‘energy vampires.’ Here I am going to discuss their differences and the new one I call the crocodile.
First up are the snakes in the grass. These are people who you work with, neighbors or even close friends. The problem with snakes in the grass is that it can take a while for you to recognize them as they camouflage themselves so well. Snakes are a pest, they can be harmful and poisonous. Other times they can just be nosey harmless creatures.
Usually there are more than one snake. They like to gossip about you behind your back. They spread the gossip sometimes to benefit themselves or to destroy relationships, other times for pure fun. They are sly as they slither their way around into your life gathering information to pocket for later.
These are the neighbors that peer over your fence to check on you. They share information a bit like a narcissist when they ‘Triangulate’ you. They get others on their side with the information they have about you. So when you discuss anything with that other person they have already made their mind up about you. They believe the other person over you. This happens in relationships, family dynamics and friendships.
