ChainGuardians — Telegram AMA — March 24
On Wednesday, March 24, we had the pleasure to welcome to our Telegram chat:
We asked them questions about the development of ChainGuardians.
Some sentences have been slightly edited for readability but the meaning has been conserved.
ChainGuardians is a platform which combines traditional gaming concepts with blockchain technologies to enable player-driven economies.
Within the ChainGuardians ecosystem, players can participate in free-to-play NFT Mining platform and Role-Playing Game; both of which allow players to earn income, turning your time and energy into tangible rewards.
The platform allows users to sell their game items to NFT marketplaces like OpenSea. Users can build up their players, which also adds to their scarcity, before selling them when they want to exit or take a break from the game.
CGG is the platform’s native token, which powers ChainGuardians’ community governance structure. To get hold of the token, players must either stake their NFTs or play the Chain Guardians role-playing game (RPG).
Q — Ayeley Commodore-Mensah from GAINS: What did you do before crypto and did you have any other previous venture in crypto? What is your role at ChainGuardians?
A — Emma from ChainGuardians: I was a management consultant and I have managed multi-million dollar projects for different industries, including the Canadian banks and government.
I got into the crypto space in early 2016, mostly focused on mining and got involved in the NFT space in 2017.
A — Robbeh from ChainGuardians: Before crypto I was involved in numerous communications based roles as well as teaching. Prior to that I had more or less full time education. During 2017 I became involved in crypto and did some consultancy for a new project around marketing and biz dev. That’s when I found Decentraland and I’ve been involved there since then also. Then we incepted CG in Jan 2019.
Q — Ayeley Commodore-Mensah from GAINS: Let’s talk about ChainGuardians. What is the project about in a few simple sentences? For how long have you been working on ChainGuardians?
A — Emma from ChainGuardians: We started CG in 2019. ChainGuardians is a platform which combines traditional gaming concepts with blockchain technologies to enable player-driven economies.
Within the ChainGuardians ecosystem, players can participate in our NFT Mining Platform and Role-Playing Game.
A — Robbeh from ChainGuardians: ChainGuardians is a blockchain meets superheroes ecosystem
I like to think of us as the Marvel Avengers of the blockchain
Q — Ayeley Commodore-Mensah from GAINS: How many people are on the team?
A — Emma from ChainGuardians: Few of our blockchain superheroes
A — Robbeh from ChainGuardians: I would say 15FTE and another 10–15 consultants/part time
Q — Twitter user @Meml97: The art for your page is ridiculously beautiful and amazing, it caught me instantly. Can you tell us more about where the inspiration for it and the concept of the characters came from? Also, who is the artist or the team behind it?
A — Robbeh from ChainGuardians: There’s 2/3 fold to the artwork creation but the vast majority of the work comes from Noi, our character artist, who Emma will talk a little about.
A — Emma from ChainGuardians: Thank you. Our lead artist Noi Sackda has done work for DC Comics, Nintendo and Disney
He draws a lot of inspiration from JRPGs like Final Fantasy. He loves how the series has been able to combine old world elements and very high-tech design sensibilities together.
Beyond that there is a further creative process (myself and another script writer responsible for bringing the characters to life through LORE) and we also work directly with projects, etc. to design a character which is suitable to projects’ branding and values.
Check out his Youtube channel 🙂
Q — Twitter user @ontortk: What are the features and functionality of NFT ChainGuadians? In future, Will your assets be used in other blockchain games, virtual world Decentraland or metaverse like Sandbox?
A — Emma from ChainGuardians: Our members have been using our NFT in our gaming eco-system. NFT mining game to earn our CGC which can be redeemed for our ERC-20 CGG.
Also as heroes fighting in our role-playing and PvP game.
We are in discussion with many other metaverse blockchain projects at the moment.
A — Robbeh from ChainGuardians: I think we already covered the following:
- Use them in our NFT Mining Platform to earn income
- Use them in our RPG to battle friends and in the future participate in tournaments as well as battle through the LORE mode
- 3D game scenario being developed for the future
Regarding DCL, we have a fantastic relationship with them and of course, there will likely be use-case there also — whether that be avatars or game scenarios.
Q — Telegram user Dies Lienas: Could you explain in simple words pls.
As a gamers, how to join in, what should them do, and what rewards that will be gain
A — Robbeh from ChainGuardians: Users can start playing free, immediately, by simply signing up on our website and clicking ‘play RPG’ or ‘Play NFT Mining’
- Users will benefit heavily from owning an NFT for progression
- Our NFTs are currently in huge demand but we’re working at lowering the barrier to entry for our new NFTs for newcomers
- Our RPG is currently in Beta and our next major release will be to provide rewards (we’re balancing) so they’re currently not enabled and we hope newcomers will be patient with this
Q — Telegram user Luis Arias: You mention that you have two utilities, an NFT mining platform, and a free role-playing game platform, but will both really provide the same amount of reward and will have the same degree of difficulty? to new members which one would you reward to start?
A — Emma from ChainGuardians: Good question. NFT mining game is designed for users looking passively to earn and RPG is designed for gamers who enjoy playing games while earning rewards.
Q — Telegram user Amina Peter: How do I get a higher chance of winning mining rewards in your platform? How does ChainGuadians help in retaining the value of our NFTs in the future? Does your platform provide more and better opportunities for your users? If so, in what ways?
A — Emma from ChainGuardians: We are currently working on an update on the mining platform. You will see a better reward system and hash rate boost opportunities coming soon. We will continue to work to add more use cases for our NFTs, right now users already have two ways to use our NFT within our ecosystem and we have more exciting things planned in our pipeline.
Q — Telegram user Mahmut: Can you tell us the blockchain networks you use?
A — Robbeh from ChainGuardians: Our assets are natively placed on ETH network but we have intentions to enable cross-platform NFT transfers across: BSC, EVMs, Matic, Elrond and other side chains =)
Q — Ayeley Commodore-Mensah from GAINS: What is the token use case and how does it capture the value of the ecosystem you’re building?
A — Emma from ChainGuardians: Reward players for actively participating within the ChainGuardians ecosystem
Empower users to direct the balance of the ChainGuardians ecosystem
Encourage users to engage with the tokens use-case and redeem rewards
Q — Ayeley Commodore-Mensah from GAINS: There are a lot of NFT projects around these days. What sets ChainGuardians apart from the rest?
A — Robbeh from ChainGuardians: One of the main things is that our assets have use-case and we have two products already to market. So many NFT projects popping up everywhere and the assets have no use-case.
We have our NFT Mining Platform which is widely acknowledged in the blockchain gaming/NFT space as one of the most innovative products out there; as well as world class artwork designed by our artist who is ex-DC comics/Marvel.
Not to mention our RPG and we have recently rolled out PvP so players can use their NFTs to battle friends in real-time gaming scenarios.
Our NFTs will also be given additional use-cases and are entirely interoperable. There is a long line of projects waiting for their assets to be put onto our NFT Mining Platform =)
Moreover: we think of ChainGuardians as the Marvel Avengers of blockchain. Anime-inspired artwork representing superheroes of the major blockchain projects and chains. ChainGuardians is an ecosystem which combines traditional gaming concepts with blockchain technologies. It’s both free2play and play2earn (or will be once fully rolled out) and our tokenomics structure enables for several Defi opportunities.
A — Emma from ChainGuardians: We are also considered a ‘Gen 1’ blockchain game — meaning we combine on-chain and off-chain mechanics to enable for a streamlined user experience, whilst still maintaining the benefits of the blockchain.
Most importantly we have worked with the top blockchain projects to create the superheros, we have 2.5 years of history behind our development.
Q — Twitter user @KevinSalom1: You recently made public your partnership with Elrond, a great project pursuing blockchain adoption. What are your expectations with this new partner? Do you think this can give a big boost to ChainGuardians and NFT adoption?
A — Robbeh from ChainGuardians: Elrond have super-slick web3 tools including Maiar which enables people to crate a web3 wallet through only needing a mobile phone as a requirement — we’ve very keen to explore this feature in further depth as well as find synergy with other Defi opportunities as part of our partnership with Elrond =)
A — Emma from ChainGuardians: We have also created a very attractive Princess superhero for Elrond.
Q — Telegram user Shito San: What problems will ChainGuardians solve thanks to the recent integration you have established with pNetwork? How will users benefit from this partnership?
A — Emma from ChainGuardians: We are working with pNetwork on CGG token bridge. Once it is ready, we will announce it. There is also something else being worked on, which I can’t share at the moment.
Q — Ayeley Commodore-Mensah from GAINS: Did you raise funds so far? If so, how did you handle them? Are you planning to do any future raises?
A — Robbeh from ChainGuardians: Yes we completed our token sale and it is available on Uniswap. No future raises being planned but there’s no shortage of requests to get a piece of our project =)
Q — Ayeley Commodore-Mensah from GAINS: What stage is the project at? And what should we expect in the next months?
A — Robbeh from ChainGuardians: We have been building 2.5 years already and have released two of our products. Users should expect more and more exciting use-cases; continued game development and refinement; increased token use-case; innovative blockchain integrations (see our Pnetwork collaboration whereby we will be the first NFT project to have a bridge for our assets to BSC) and much much more.
A — Emma from ChainGuardians: On the gaming side: the mining game is live and our RPG including PvP is in Beta at the moment.
Our community members are currently helping us to test our PvP.
Q — Telegram user VisiV: Where can the community be more connected with ChainGuardians? Like a social media type system, where people can share ideas and project progress suggestions because we know the power of the community to easily create famous projects?
A — Emma from ChainGuardians: Thank you for your questions. We have a discord channel where community members can join and get more involved. There are dedicated channels for support and provide feedback. We will also be rolling out a Guardian program soon for our community members.
Q — Telegram user Bea 🐝 Evolet 🏵: ✅ Are Chainguardian currently working on a new hero or guardian? I understand that most of your heroes are related to cryptos or exchange for example Binancio = Binance ,which one will be next ?
A — Robbeh from ChainGuardians: We recently revealed that Eren (Elrond Guardian) will be added soon. We also recently revealed Guardians for: Polkastarter, DuckDAO, Chainlink and others. We also leaked this with PancakeSwap…. Which will come next… Who knows.
It was a pleasure having you in our group today Emma, Robbeh. Anything else you’d like to say? Where can we follow you to stay updated? — Ayeley Commodore-Mensah from GAINS
