HappyLand — Telegram AMA — December 05
On Sunday, December 05, we had the pleasure to welcome to our Telegram chat:
Khoa Phan, CEO of HappyLand
We asked him questions about the development of HappyLand.
Some sentences have been slightly edited for readability but the meaning has been conserved.
HappyLand is a Blockchain Gaming platform, inspired by the Texas countryside the USA. In HappyLand, players will transform into the
role of a farm owner cultivating, breeding pets and taking care of his farm. From there, each player will participate in building a multi-farm metaverse with many unique custom styles.
Through HappyLand’s P2E model, players have unlimited earning potentials. Players initially have to convert real money into tokens ($HPL), then they are able to use that money to invest in land, crops and animals. Through participating in the in-game economy, players are rewarded with $HPL, a token designed specifically for this game. Play to earn (P2E) rewards can be used in governance, farm upgrades, the marketing place, NFTs payment and staking.
The main goal of HappyLand metaverse is to provide a highly committed and creative gaming experience for players, while at the same time helping players gain real-life financial rewards. It is precisely this that we believe Happyland has the potential to become an authentic metaverse
Q — Ayeley from GAINS: Khoa, can you please introduce yourself?
A — Khoa from HAPPYLAND: Yes, I am Khoa, the Co-founder & CEO of HappyLand. I graduated with a bachelor’s and master of Computer Science from Peter the Great St.Petersburg Polytechnic University, Russia, and returned to Vietnam in 2009.
I am the Co-founder and CTO of VTech Jsc, a startup founded in 2014. One of our main areas is game development and publishing.
Q — Ayeley from GAINS: Gains Associates are big believers that the team and talent behind the project is one of the most important factors for success. Tell us more about the team behind HappyLand, and how your experience has led you here?
A — Khoa from HAPPYLAND: Thank you! Our Tazogames studio was founded at the beginning of 2021 being part of VTech JSC. Various factors need to be taken into account for a project to be successful. Besides having a great team, we also need to have a strong passion for our work as well. Personally, I have already had over 15 years of experience in software development. While the teams at Tazogames all have over 7 years of experience in game development and publishing. Moreover, we also have a very experienced blockchain team.
We also have great advisors with a lot of experience in game design and tokenomics. And I strongly believe that the success of a project is determined by a combination of both attitude and knowledge.
Q — Ayeley from GAINS: Can you tell us more about the vision behind HappyLand, and why are you launching it?
A — Khoa from HAPPYLAND: HappyLand is a game developed by Tazogames studio. It is a game that gives players the power to progress in digital agriculture. It is a metaverse where gamers, investors, and crypto enthusiasts can become a farmer, sow their seeds, and harvest their yields. It is where players have the power to get unlimited earnings.
Ever since I started my career in software & game development, I always wanted to develop a game with real values. That provides players with not only the ability to get unlimited earnings but to give them happiness, joy, pride, and relaxation. I wanted to provide players with the ability to feel proud of their creations. Besides a strong passion for game development, we are all witnessing a strong demand for metaverse games.
This is why we decided to create HappyLand: A play-to-earn agriculture-simulation game. HappyLand intends to bring the most popular Farmville-based gaming concept to the blockchain sphere. With our vivid vision of revolutionizing the Play2Earn Metaverse, we aim to expand our game reach to the masses. Happyland also aims to reflect real farming as close as possible, it is simple, smooth, and joyful.
Q — Twitter user @antonio50221026: While researching HappyLand, I realized that you focus a lot on making your game as realistic as possible. So, can you give more details about the game modes that can be found? How much will you be able to reflect real farming in their game? What would your PvE mode be like?
A — Khoa from HAPPYLAND: Happyland is a metaverse farming game. It is built cardinally on the experience of real-life farming. This means that almost all farming is included within the game itself. From how we sow the seed and reap the fruits. Or from how we raise cattle and collect their yield such as milk. Even some clandestine activities such as stealing are included in Happyland, of course, that’s why we need dogs for our farms. We make sure that all aspects of farming are included in Happyland. Happyland is a metaverse, cities are built within the game itself, players can visit the cities and socialize. Happyland is a mix of farm, RPG, and free roam, after all, it is a metaverse
One more time, I would like to say that our Happyland aims to reflect real farming as closely as possible, it is simple, smooth, and joyful.
Q — Twitter user @Godpelpa: I could see that in 2022 you plan to launch mini-games within your metaverse but could you explain to me what role will these mini-games play within your metaverse and will these have a farm theme? Will it be possible to obtain profits or profitability from these mini-games?
A — Khoa from HAPPYLAND: We always want our farmers to be exciting, not only in their farming activities, they should have other relaxing activities in HappyLand like in real life.
Minigames in Happyland consist of various farm-related games, such as horse racing and pig racing. Our team is still working on adding more features to these games, our team is always listening to the user’s needs. And we would like to create a game that best suits the majority of the audience. We are also giving the users the power to decide what kind of mini-games they like within Happyland. Yes players are able to obtain more HPL in these minigames
Q — Telegram user Godpelpa: I understand that HappyLand is a game developed by Tazogames studio so I would like to know more information about Tazogames studio and what experience they have in game development, NFT, and the Metaverse?
A — Khoa from HAPPYLAND: Tazogames have 7 years of experience in building games for the biggest Telco in Vietnam. Our team has more than 20 developers and artists, building 2D, 3D games. For NFT and blockchain games, we help to develop Deathroad racing games, and Happyland is the second NFT game we built.
Q — Ayeley from GAINS: Can you talk a bit more about $HPL, particularly about the token utility?
A — Khoa from HAPPYLAND: HPL is the main utility token in our Happyland, it will be used for general governance purposes, farm upgrades, P2E rewards, marketplace transactions, staking. With $HPL players can use it to buy NFTs in Happyland metaverse and other valuable in-game items (seeds, animals…). $HPL is the main liquidity medium of Happyland metaverse
Our HappyLand IDO is coming to Polkastarter on December 8th, 2021.
Q — Telegram user Coco T.: Will there be another currency besides the $HPL? Like another in-game token in the future?
A — Khoa from HAPPYLAND: Yes, $HPL is the main token to use to buy/sell NFTs on our marketplace and in-game items. $HPL also plays the role of a governance token where holders will be able to vote for ecosystem development. However, there will be $HPW as well this is used for paying some additional in-game items and fees in Happyland. P2E rewards will be mainly HPW to avoid high inflation of HPL similar to other games. More information will be announced regarding the differences between these tokens. So stay tuned.
Q — Ayeley from GAINS: What makes HappyLand different from other projects?
A — Khoa from HAPPYLAND: Currently, P2E games related to farming are not very prevalent on the market, while in reality, this kind of game is always in demand, HappyLand thus become a highly sought out P2E game. Happyland is a complete reflection of what’s it like to farm in real life, for example, a farmer who takes care of his farm and animals.
Many people also asked us this question
-) In HappyLand’s P2E model, players have almost unlimited earning potential, with only small investments. Players initially need to buy HappyLand’s native token $HPL to acquire land, crops, and animals. Through participating in the in-game economy, players are in turn rewarded $HPL. -) On top of that, HappyLand metaverse is constantly updated, constantly changing, and improved upon, guaranteeing players a P2E and entertainment experience.
-) HappyLand is compatible on all major devices including Web, Wap, Android, IOS so players can play anywhere, anytime directly from a web/wap browser.
-) And different from other teams, we have strong advisors backing us notably Kenzi Wang (AU21 Capital and Cere Network), Kieran Warwick: CEO and Co-founder of Illuvium, Santiago R Santos: famed investor in the crypto world and Stani Kulechov: the founder and CEO of AAVE.

Q — Telegram user Irfane: Will there be another IDO besides the IDO on Polkastarter? Can you share some possible IDOs?
A — Khoa from HAPPYLAND: No. We will be doing IDO on Polkastarter only. The Polkastarter community is great and supportive, and their team is very professional. Besides IDO, we will have INOs — Initial NFT Offering where we will sell NFT game items to our community. We have been under negotiation with a few INO platforms and our INO will be in December. Please stay tuned for our announcement on our announcement channel.
Khoa, thanks for coming into our community, and taking the time to answer our questions. My key takeaway is the fact that Happyland aims to reflect real farming as closely as possible, to be simple, smooth, and joyful. Do you have any final words for us?
