We asked them questions about the development of KardiaChain, currently ranked 448 at Coingecko.

In this AMA, Tri Pham, CEO of KardiaChain, joined the GAINS community to tell us about his project.
KardiaChain is a public blockchain platform focused on Interoperability and providing hybrid blockchain solutions/infrastructure for enterprises and governments in Vietnam and other countries in South & East Asia.
They created their own programming language: KSML. It allows developers to easily connect multiple blockchains at once and realize complex operations.
Their Dual Node technology allows cross-chain communications between any public and/or private blockchain regardless of protocol. This provides easy-to-adopt solutions for institutional clients.
KardiaChain is partnered with Geleximco, a company with assets totaling over $2.2bn. They’re also working with the Vietnamese National TV, the Vietnamese government and various quality projects in crypto such as Matic, Tokoin, Band Protocol, CertiK, Morpheus Labs and Vite.
KardiaChain’s CEO owns his own football team and named it after KardiaChain. It ranked 3rd place in the 2019 national league.

Q — Alexandre R from GAINS: Tri, can you tell us what you did before crypto, how you got into crypto, and if you’ve had any other venture in crypto previous to being involved with KardiaChain?
A — Tri Pham from KardiaChain: I was running a tech company in London for 5 years before founding KardiaChain with my co-founder Huy. My mission is to bring innovative technologies to the masses and blockchain is definitely an exciting industry. I build KardiaChain with the belief that we can drive mass adoption and build a better society with blockchain.
Q — Alexandre R from GAINS: Can you tell us what your role is at KardiaChain and what the project is about in a few simple sentences?
A — Tri Pham from KardiaChain: I’m the CEO and co-founder. I’m handling strategic planning, business, and product direction. KardiaChain is a public blockchain platform focused on Interoperability and providing hybrid blockchain solutions/infrastructure for enterprises and governments in Vietnam and other countries in South & East Asia.
Our Dual Node technology allows cross-chain communications between any public and/or private blockchain regardless of protocol. This provides easy-to-adopt solutions for institutional clients.
That’s how we have the chance to work with major services providers (enterprises and government) to decentralize their existing solutions.

Q — Twitter user @DurdenMagnat: You said that KardiaChain is widely used by government and business. What do you mean by that? Is your project supported by the government of Vietnam? What industry/business will use the KardiaChain solution?
A — Tri Pham from KardiaChain: the Vietnam government is involved with KardiaChain on different levels. There are several active and former gov officials being our advisors. Different gov departments are/were working with us on blockchain, their services and products. We also actively engage in contributing to the new legal frameworks.

We are working with Vietnam’s top telco to develop a mobile payment gateway allowing their subscribers to acquire KAI with their mobile balance.
Q — Twitter user @bacodsan_tuy: Can the KardiaChain team introduce me to another function in detail: How does interoperability such as NEO-ETH-TRX work?
A — Tri Pham from KardiaChain: We achieve interoperability by using our own invention called the dual node.
In summary, Dual Node is a bilingual translator who can speak both Kardiachain protocol and another one e.g. ETH, TRX, NEO, etc.
A KAI-ETH node can translate what happened in Ethereum to Kardiachain, and a KAI-NEO node can translate what happened in Neo to Kardiachain, thus allowing NEO-ETH communication to achieve.
As in benefits,
- User: There are multiple groups of Dual Nodes (KAI-ETH, KAI-NEO, etc.) that users can stake or delegate to become validators, hence earning KAI in the process. We set up one-click-deployment to make the process of becoming our dual node validators very easy and time-efficient.
- Developers: Dual Nodes together with KSML (Kardia Smart Markup Language, a coding language) enable Dapp developers to achieve cross-chain operations that they would not be able to perform otherwise. Examples like deploying one Master smart contract that allows asset moving or info validation on multiple chains (ETH, NEO, TRX) at once has not been done before.
Q — Twitter user @kiki_pearl: Kardiachain has been well received by users in Vietnam and has full football community backing, how were you able to achieve such great feats? And what steps have you taken to ensure Kai is also in demand by other users outside Vietnam?
A — Tri Pham from KardiaChain: We started to engage the football community in late 2018 at different levels to achieve maximum exposure and influence. I have my own team and named it after KardiaChain, you can check here https://www.facebook.com/KardiaChainSaigonFC/. This is a pro team, ranked 3rd place in the 2019 national league. It is also an official member that has voting rights in the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF).

VTVCab Sports mobile app is also integrating with KAI tokens. They have 200k registered members and 800k members on Facebook. All that helps KardiaChain to build a strong connection with the football community.
Our short/mid-term focus is the Vietnam market. Having said that, we are paying more attention to products, services, and business models that can be replicated to other countries and/or available worldwide. We have strong partners around the region, who provide us market insights and opportunities.
Q — Telegram user oyibo pepper: What’s the difference between dual Node and Cross chains?
I am an experienced developer with knowledge of solidity, Java, C, however, I saw KAI used KSML, how easy is it to build using KSML?
A — Tri Pham from KardiaChain: Dual Node tech is a means to achieve cross-chain communication. As far as we know, currently, there is no tool that allows Dapp developers to comprise multiple smart contracts of different blockchains (and potentially different languages) in a single Master smart contract.
For example, there is no clean way for a Dapp developer to write something like “request account 1 on ETH to send 10 ETH to account 2, AND once that transaction is confirmed on ETH, request account 2 on NEO to return 200 NEO to account 1”.
With KSML leveraging Dual Node technology, you can specify all these operations through multiple smart contracts deployed simultaneously on ETH and NEO.
A KardiaChain Master smart contract using pseudo-KSML would look like this:

Q — Telegram user DustyLoooza: I noticed your youth union incentive platform is very similar or copied from Tokoin’s Tokoknights campus meetups in Indonesia.
Are KardiaChain and Tokoin related to each other?
Do you have a partnership at all?
A — Tri Pham from KardiaChain: Interesting observation. We do have a partnership with Tokoin. However, our Youth Union Incentive Platform is not a meetup or offline activity. It’s an application that allows 1) the members (students) to create an ID and perform various tasks to get rewards by the sponsors or the Union themselves and 2) the management staff to administrate their member info and organize activities more effectively.
Q — Telegram user Friend R: What is the difference between Kardiachain and Aergo — another good project that uses hybrid blockchain for business?
What is your advantage compared to them?
A — Tri Pham from KardiaChain: We would not think there are direct competitors as the focus and market is different but the closest in terms of technology would be Cosmos and Polkadot considered as competitors. We are different from these projects in a number of ways:
1. Infrastructure connecting crypto with fiat via mobile payment channel
2. Seamless mass adoption strategy: starting with TOP Vietnam media companies and football federation
3. Legal framework and direct government support
4. Practical technology and applications.
Business Development
Q — Telegram user Igor: You often mention that the government supports KardiaChain strongly on many levels. So, my question is: In the scope of governmental and institutional partnerships, which of the existing partnerships (between KAI & a government) is the most impactful and why?
A — Tri Pham from KardiaChain: Good question. For the government to roll out a production-level blockchain application is quite difficult. We have been working on the prototype and pilot stage for different departments. The ones I can reveal until now are the ministry of justice (juridical records of blockchain) and the city of Danang (student records on the blockchain). I will make sure the community is updated when we have further permission to disclose other projects.
Q — Telegram user Tommy Shelby: There are users who do not have much technical knowledge about this whole crypto world. What does KardiaChain offer to these users? Are the platform and the app designed with these non-tech savvy users in mind?
A — Tri Pham from KardiaChain: The main reason we partner with traditional businesses is to leverage their know-how and current user base to the crypto world. Together we are building user-friendly applications with blockchain features that benefit the users first. We also work on the payment gateway to allow users quickly and conveniently to buy KAI using their mobile balance. This way we can get more diversified token users. Lastly, we focus on different communities such as football, streaming, gaming, and students to maximize exposure.
