Roco Finance — Telegram AMA — October 26

We asked him questions about the development of Roco Finance.

Summary

ROCO is a decentralized GAMEFI platform which provides blockchain services to game developers, content creators and player communities through the blockchain network. Roco developed on AVAX network for use in Roco Finance’s own game ecosystem and partner games. Roco Finance plans to drive the evolution of online gaming with targeted industry-focused solutions to help promising gaming projects reach their full potential

Play & Earn
It is the first project that aims to unite both game developers and player communities with the Play and Earn philosophy via blockchain. While making improvements for players to gain crypto assets in the game with game add-ons, it also provides a decentralized platform service where players can buy and sell their virtual items with the NFT Market, thus ensuring that NFTs have real-world assets.

Usecases
Roco, provides NFT services to game developers and player communities for the management, distribution and exchange of virtual items. It enables these transactions to be carried out over the blockchain network. Players can bring their in-game earnings to real-world values, or exchange real-world values into the game, and grow their digital wallet for real value while playing. Players can trade in the real world while having fun.

Roco, creates staking and farming pools for partner gaming companies to manage and earn rewards for their players. At the same time, Roco token holders can earn rewards by staking their tokens in staking pools. Roco also provides open-source software development kits (SDKs), APIs, game add-ons, virtual items management applications and a payment systems platform service. Roco Starter mediates the promotion of promising game projects in the seed and incubation stages. It organizes IDOs for partner companies to meet and invest with player communities. It provides technological opportunities for partner companies to use the blockchain infrastructure. Provides technical support. It contributes to the token economy of projects with the staking and farming efficiencies that will be provided after the seed and culture phase, and provides safe trading opportunities to investors with the liquidity provided.

Q — Ayeley from GAINS: Please tell us about yourself, your journey in crypto so far, and how you ended up at Roco Finance

A — Sebahattin from ROCO FINANCE: I am Sebahattin Akay, I have worked as a company owner and operations manager in companies that provide Online Game products, digital e-pin code sales, and brokerage services for about 16 years.

We started the project by considering the population of the game industry and choosing the MMORPG genre that we think is suitable for us. In the last 4.5 years of the project, we have reached the number of staff between 55–65 people in total. Currently, we continue to develop our project with our core staff of approximately 20 people in our company located in Teknokent, Istanbul University. We have been developing Roco Finance for over 1 year with our successful blockchain advisors and developers. They taught us crypto, and we helped them to understand game development.

Q — Ayeley from GAINS: Most of the time when people see finance they think of Defi, but from your introduction, we see Roco Finance has something to do with gaming. Can you tell us what the Roco Finance project is about?

A — Sebahattin from ROCO FINANCE: Roco Finance is a blockchain-gaming company that provides technical support to game developers on the blockchain, helping them to integrate their games to play to earn mechanism.

Roco Finance has also a token which is called $Roco to power up the whole ecosystem of payments, DeFi pools, and the NFT marketplace. There’s hype in GameFi projects now, and when a mainstream start in the crypto industry, it has a huge interaction with communities, which also causes amateur, non-developed enough projects to be launched. But we aim to connect blockchain and the gaming industry with logic.

And we also believe in DeFi, NFT, and GameFi’s future. Thus, as a gaming company, we want to interact with others, especially indies, and contribute to the blockchain ecosystem with our experienced blockchain team.

Q — Ayeley from GAINS: Do you have some games already out there that can be played now?

A — Sebahattin from ROCO FINANCE: Yes, our MMORPG game called Rise Online World is almost ready. We have been developing our game for almost 4–5 years. We reached a total of 100,000 users in Alpha processes. We are releasing our Closed beta server on October 29.

Q — Twitter user @Alon_D99999: Being a gaming platform, what are the games you are currently supporting? What type of games are you planning to add in the future? How do you plan to expand to non-crypto users as there are many gamers with zero blockchain knowledge? Also please explain marketing strategies.

A — Sebahattin from ROCO FINANCE: Since we started developing Rise Online and Roco Finance, players in Turkey and around the world have supported us and we are creating our community both with pleasing crypto investors and players.

As you already know, Rise Online has many players waiting for the game to launch, ready to be played. So we believe in our player community. To encourage them to play, we are collaborating with distinctive games that are able to be integrated with the play-to-earn system, that’s our priority.

Moreover, we are developing mobile and browser games for everyone to play, with simple interfaces.

And we are collaborating with influencers for players on Twitch, and Youtube platforms so that everyone can learn about blockchain and play to earn.

Q — Telegram user @Hongqi12: Does our NFT appear in the game or is it officially sold?

A — Sebahattin from ROCO FINANCE: Every NFT Item can be worn by players in Rise Online but not boost their power, only cosmetics.

Everyone can sell their NFT Items on our NFT Marketplace by using the $Roco token but with many games to be developed on Roco Starter, our NFT Marketplace will expand and generate fees for Roco Stakers.

Token

Q — Ayeley from GAINS: So, what role does the $ROCO token play in the Roco Finance ecosystem?

A — Sebahattin from ROCO FINANCE: Roco token is used as the power of the whole ecosystem of Roco Finance. Payment integrations, mobile wallet integrations (coming soon), DeFi pools, NFT marketplace payment method, and in-game cash sales are used with Roco token.

Investors can stake their tokens, that’ll be enough to use and earn from every possible utility of Roco token, while players can earn from NFT marketplace sales, and the game itself.

Security

Q — Telegram user Crypto Belly: How secure is the ROCO platform? Have you applied security audits for smart contracts? Is there any audit checklist applied to the ROCO platform?

A — Sebahattin from ROCO FINANCE: We are already in talks with several audit firms. We will be auditing after launching stake pools on October 29th.

Funding

Q — Ayeley from GAINS: Did you raise funds so far? If so, how did you handle them? And are you planning to do any future raises?

A — Sebahattin from ROCO FINANCE: Yes, we have been invested by Gains Associates, Alameda Research, Huobi Ventures, Ava Labs, and more supportive venture capitals in our seed and private sale rounds.

We have also completed our public sale on Avalaunch and Hoopoe platform. And we are listed TraderJoe and Pangolin “for now”. We will not raise any funds for Roco Finance, but the gaming projects that we are partnered with may want fundraising support to be launched on RocoStarter, that’s what we help them about with our supportive venture capitals, KOLs, and influencers.

Competitive Advantage

Q — Twitter user @tuan_iker: Could you share with us some killer features of Roco Finance that set it apart from its competitors? What competitive advantages does your platform have that you feel most confident in?

A — Sebahattin from ROCO FINANCE: The main idea of Roco Finance is far distinctive from its competitors. Roco Finance creates an ecosystem for both crypto investors and players. We encourage crypto investors to stake their tokens so that they can earn from fees, profit shares, and have a right to participate in IGOs on RocoStarter, while we encourage players to play to earn, especially with Roco token, NFT items to be sold.

That’s why Roco Finance is different from others, no project in the crypto world that can offer these opportunities to everyone.

Business Development

Q — Ayeley from GAINS: With respect to your roadmap, what exciting news or updates should we expect in the next weeks and months?

A — Sebahattin from ROCO FINANCE: Single Staking is coming on the 29th of October, RocoStarter is coming in November with GameFi projects. Rise Online’s Closed Beta launches on the 29th of October, and blockchain systems are still being added to games with different ideas. We are developing our mobile wallet system, NFT marketplace for games, and also GameFi projects to be launched at Rocostarter.

We are also collaborating and reviewing over 6 GameFi projects.

I know that most of our investors want Roco token to be launched on a CEX, we are also in contact with many of them, but where the liquidity is strong. As it’s forbidden to mention names of the exchanges, I need to cut my talk here :)

Q — Telegram user R1Ixoraa: Aside from AVAX, does the ROCO team have plans to integrate with other blockchains in the near future?

A — Sebahattin from ROCO FINANCE: We are considering multi-chain options for Solana, Eth, and BSC. We will also be hosting GAMEFI projects that are on different networks than Avalanche.
