My name is Alexandre Raffin and I’m the CEO of GAINS. In this article, I’m going to detail what motivates us to push our limits every time we get up in the morning.

THE CRYPTO WILD WEST 🤠

When we first entered the crypto space in 2016-17, the landscape for early-stage investing was vastly different.

IDO launchpads didn’t even exist back then, and the only option was to join “pools” — Telegram communities where individuals came together to bundle their funds and invest in big projects that would normally be inaccessible to them.

However, these groups came with significant risks, as many of their leaders operated anonymously. When the stakes got high, they would simply disappear with your hard-earned money, leaving community members with substantial losses.

The average pool experience wasn’t so good 🤕

This situation was unacceptable, so I was driven to create a better solution with the help of two of my best friends, our COO Alexandre Patry as well our CTO Lotfi Zouad. We studied computer engineering together, and I’ve known them for 10+ years now.

Our relentless pursuit of transparency in the token sale process ultimately led to the creation of our very own pool in 2018 then GAINS Private, our platform for private sales, in late 2021.

The road wasn’t always easy, we had to put all our souls on it, there were many sleepless nights and years of hard work, but our perseverance finally paid off, as people ended up loving our transparent way of doing things.

Building on the success of this first app, our team is getting ready to tap into a 10x larger market this Q1 with the release of GainsPad, our new launchpad for public sales.
