We are thrilled to introduce the much-anticipated version 2.0 of our DevNet, codename Andromeda. It marks a significant milestone in Galactica Network’s journey towards building the technological foundations for compliant privacy and the Cypher State.
Rigorous Audit: The Galactica ZK Vault Snap
First and foremost, we are proud to announce the successful audit of our Galactica ZK Vault Snap by Sayfer, a renowned auditor trusted and recommended by MetaMask. This rigorous evaluation was pivotal in ensuring the utmost security and reliability of our platform. The results were outstanding:
- Zero critical issues found
- All 4 discovered issues were fixed
- A highly productive collaboration with the Sayfer team

Transitioning from DevNet V1.0 to V2.0: Andromeda

Technical Upgrades
DevNet V2.0 is not just an update; it’s a leap forward. Here’s a sneak peek into what we’ve been working on:
- New Golang SDK for KYC Guardians: An intuitive SDK for KYC Guardians to issue and manage zkKYC records. Check it out at Galactica Guardians SDK and the KYC Guardian Guide.
- Monorepo Repository: A comprehensive repository for enhancing integration, reusability, and developer experience. It contains the TypeScript packages for our zero-knowledge circuits, the zkCert library, Snap, type definitions, front-end API, and examples.
- Galactica ZK Vault Snap for MetaMask: An improved user experience focusing on the security and privacy of ZKP disclosures, with a better structured and typed API interface through the new Snap-API package.
- Zero-knowledge Certificates: Encryption of exported zkCerts, revocable zkKYC registries, and an enhanced “guardian registry” smart contract, all catering to the feedback from KYC guardians and the community.
- Front-end API for Galactica ZK Vault Snap: Simplifying the integration of ZK disclosure and zkKYC features for projects building on Galactica.
- Galactica Node Enhancements: Transitioning to the CometBFT consensus engine, adding the Epochs module, and updating the Cosmos SDK, all contributing to a more robust and efficient system.
