That was our crew for the in-depth classes filming. Daniel Carettoni, Pedro Elias, Rickson Gracie, Luca Atalla, José Padilha, Carlos Gama, Gabriel Pimenta. Photo triggered by remote control.

“What needs to ‘feel’ pressure is a beer draft system,” said Zico, one of the best soccer players in history.

Enter the in-depth footage of Module 1 of the Self.Defense.Unit.

As I mentioned in a previous article, we gathered to add content for a particular audience: the die-hard Jiu-Jitsu practitioners who were waiting anxiously for master Rickson first-ever instructional videos, and got disappointed.

We went all the way from Brazil, New York, and San Francisco, and had a short period to make it happen.

No problem, we have in front of us the Jiu-Jitsu icon himself, and the slate is about to clack when a special guest arrives to watch if we are doing our job right.

Did you watch the Netflix series “Narcos”? Or the movie “Robocop”? Perhaps the “Elite Squad” sequel?

Yes, now we had José Padilha in the set.

Two masters of different industries together: José Padilha (cinema) and Rickson Gracie (martial arts).

I almost lent my director’s hat for him, I swear.

Then I remembered Zico’s words and clapped my hands to indicates the beginning of the “Single-hand collar grape escape” scene.

Wait… Clapped my hands? Yes, I forgot the slate.

The in-depth Rickson Gracie Jiu-Jitsu classes are available as a part of Module 1 of the Self.Defense.Unit.
