CoinGecko Introduces “DeFi 101” NFT Campaign on Galxe

DeFi is currently one of the fastest growing sectors in the Blockchain and Cryptocurrency space. However, what is your first destination to learn How to DeFi? Today we are excited to announce that CoinGecko is bringing you the “DeFi 101” NFT Campaign on Galxe.

The “DeFi 101” campaign takes inspiration from the How to DeFi: Beginner book published by CoinGecko. Through this collaboration, both CoinGecko and Galxe aim to deliver campaigns for DeFi beginners and enthusiasts who want to get educated and delve deeper into the Web3 ecosystem.

In order to participate in this campaign, users must redeem Candy from CoinGecko to claim the CoinGecko Candy Collector OAT badge, which acts as an entry ticket for the campaign.

Based on Ethereum, the “DeFi 101” NFT Campaign includes 5 courses, each with its own task, users who have completed the task will be able to earn a badge, and honor students that have completed all 5 courses will be eligible to earn a CoinGecko DeFi 101 (Ethereum) Honors badge. In the future, there will be other DeFi 101 courses based on other blockchains such as BSC and Polygon.

How to Participate in the Courses and Collect NFTs?

In order to participate in this campaign, users must first collect Candy from CoinGecko to claim the CoinGecko Candy Collector NFT badge, and then start to collect the credential-based NFT badges when completing different courses.

24 hours after you have submitted your wallet address, visit https://galxe.com/coingecko to start collecting different badges.

Task & Badges

CoinGecko Candy Collector Badge (Available now)

In order to get started with all courses, you are required to redeem your Candy from your CoinGecko account. You can redeem it here: https://gcko.io/coingeckooat

After redeeming your Candy, you can then collect the dedicated “CoinGecko Candy Collector” badge on Galxe, which acts as an entry ticket for the campaign. (Note that you have to acquire the badge from redeeming Candy, buying the badge from marketplaces will not give you access to all courses.)

Course 1: Swapper — DeFi 101 (Available now)

This course is designed to walk you through how to swap on major DEX.

Homework: Graduates who swapped at least once on any of these protocols on Ethereum: Uniswap, SushiSwap, Balancer, Bancor will be rewarded with the “Swapper — DeFi 101” badge.

Course 2: Yield Farmer — DeFi 101 (Coming soon)

This course is designed to walk you through how to stake on major yield protocols.

Homework: Users who have staked any amount on any of these yield protocols: Yearn Finance, Alpha Finance, Badger DAO will be rewarded with the “Yield Farmer — DeFi 101” badge.

Course 3: Loan Officer — DeFi 101 (Coming Soon)

This course is designed to walk you through how to lend on major lending & borrowing protocols.

Homework: Users who have lended any amount on any of these lending & borrowing protocols: AAVE, Maker, Compound will be rewarded with the “Loan Officer — DeFi 101” badge.

Course 4: Derivative Trader — DeFi 101 (Coming Soon)

This course is designed to walk you through how to trade on major derivative trading protocols.

Homework: Users who have traded any amount on any of these derivative trading protocols: Perpetual, Ribbon Finance will be rewarded with the “Derivative Trader — DeFi 101” badge.

Course 5: Steady Hands — DeFi 101 (Coming Soon)

This course is designed to walk you through how to use stable coins.

Homework: Users who have held any amount on any of these stable coins: USDT, USDC, DAI will be rewarded with the “Steady Hands — DeFi 101” badge.

CoinGecko DeFi 101 (Ethereum) Honors Badge (Coming Soon)

Users who successfully completed all courses will be eligible to claim this CoinGecko DeFi 101 (Ethereum) Honors Badge!
