A halo of swirling, green sparks encircles an ancient artefact in the British Museum Parthenon gallery, bringing the dead stone to life.

To Georgia’s amazement, the broken sculpture — a carving of a centaur fighting a Greek — magically reforms before her eyes.

“Centaurs were fierce creatures: half horse, half man. Some Greeks invited the centaurs to a wedding. The centaurs got drunk and attacked the Greeks — can you help this Greek fight back?”

A fierce battle ensues between the Greek and the centaur. After swiping energetically at the mythical beast, the centaur falls to the ground, defeated.

“With your help, the Greek fought back and defeated the centaur. Athena is very proud of you.”

‘You are the Lapith. Fight with the centaur!’ — a minigame which is a part of the ‘Gift for Athena’ game

Georgia’s eyes light up and she eagerly begins her hunt for the next artefact. She’s on a mission. Other kids can’t help but notice what the girl is seeing through her tablet screen — it’s a window to a hidden dimension.

“I can see something you can’t see!” she teases.

Her parents watch on, pleased and relieved that their daughter — whose attention span is usually pretty short — is so engrossed in the exhibition. Rather than being glued to her tablet, oblivious to the world around her, she’s using it to see the world with new eyes.

This is the world of Gamar, a new dimension of learning that replaces awkward audio guides and dull, wordy museum plaques to create a process of experiential education.

Enhance your World

Gamar’s app literally gamifies the learning process by adding a sense of valuable accomplishment. Its technology triggers interactive, AR experiences that are played through smartphones and tablets, using geolocation to lure visitors to locations with in-situ games or tours.

In fact, Gamar’s technology opens the door to a far greater vision of reality. The enterprise app analyses and recognises solid, natural 3D objects — not just pictures or boxes — which sets it apart from competitors focused on developing purely image-based applications.

Gamar’s technology continuously understands its environment and, in near-future iterations, will auto-animate objects based on their context, enhancing the world around us and making technology useful for everyone.

Gamar aims to deliver a unique perspective that applies deeper utility to the world — with applications in sectors as wide-ranging as entertainment and security.

With physical objects and environments key to unlocking Gamar’s AR experience, its system becomes the interface to a truly digital, interactive world.
