In the last sprint we:

  • ran some user research sessions on our corporate governance and ‘what we do’ pages. These sessions highlighted some gaps in content and we’ll be working with the appropriate business areas to improve that.
  • used Maze to run 3 missions on our news pages with real people and iterated based on findings. Maze helps us quickly do usability testing with users and use the findings to inform design decisions and identify which journeys through our site work and which don’t.

  • had a couple of virtual workshop and critique sessions using Miro to go over content and start to think about how we might structure some of the pages to support the content ready for some user testing through maze.
  • held a show and tell.
  • started to build the private beta version of the website which we will put out to a closed group of external users to get feedback and help measure our performance metrics.

We also welcomed a new digital content editor into the team who started this week. She will be helping to create new content and support the organisation to also create their own accessible, understandable content for the new website.

We’re also working through lots of content and we’re being directed by the data we have to determine what to focus on. We’re a small team and this helps us prioritise our work and how we work with different areas of the organisation.

Global Accessibility Awareness Day

With GAAD being on 21 May, our show and tell on the 22 May will have emphasis on what we are doing to ensure our new website is accessible. As usual, we’ll upload the show and tell slides shortly afterwards.
