  • At the playtester’s home (in which they record themselves)

What/Why

  • Do players feel that the puzzles are solvable with the given information?
  • Which parts of the game are the most fun?
  • Which parts of the game are the least fun?
  • Are players ever frustrated?
  • Do players understand how to play?
  • Do players understand the story of our game?
  • Did the player encounter any game-breaking bugs?

How

  • Online surveys for playtesters
  • Five-point scale for rating survey
  • When interviewing playtesters post-game, have a script of questions
  • How long did the player take to complete each puzzle?
  • Record online playtest to be able to see gameplay and reactions at the same time
  • Take notes
