How to Bounce Back from a Terrible Date

I know you’ve been there — let’s talk about it.

An awesome client of mine (let’s call her Zara) went on a TERRIBLE date this weekend.

You know the type of date I’m talking about — where the other person is rude, makes zero effort to learn about you and starts talking about sexual compatibility a little too soon.

As you can imagine, Zara felt pretty down about it.

Picture this: You finally muster the courage to step outside your comfort zone and put yourself out there…

Only to meet a guy who takes non-urgent phone calls mid-date and wants a deep dive into sex fantasies.

The worst part? There were no red flags in his messages to suggest this behaviour.

In fact, they were thoughtful and curious — refreshingly different from the usual small talk.

Maybe a little too good. Honestly, I’m now convinced he used ChatGPT — but that’s a story for another day.

Either way…

Zara had every reason to feel disappointed — maybe even to start spinning the classic story: “Why bother when this keeps happening?”

And if she lets herself fall into that narrative, she’ll prove it right.
