Report on progress in January 2022.
nibiru-3000 Testnet Completed
An application for genesis validators of nibiru-3000 testnet started on January 15, 2022.
A total of 280 validators applied for this testnet. For more information about the testnet, please refer to our github.
Prerelease of GAME GS Pad
GAME GS Pad is a user-friendly web interface. Users can stake (delegate/undelegate/redelegate) and vote for governance on the pad with Keplr Wallet.
SoftWare Upgrade
Software was upgraded on January 26 following the majority vote of on-chain governance. Validators needed to upgrade the version of the executable file at the block height 64000.
The software upgrade itself was successful, but the signatures of the validators were not sufficiently collected and the block was not generated at block height 64002 for a while. Eventually the block was successfully generated five hours after the update started.
The probable reason for the block generation delay is that the signatures of some validators were not passed on due to the concentration of P2P communication to the seed nodes (another factor may be the large number of validator set because it’s still a testnet). In the next round, we would like to increase the number of seed nodes prepared by the team and recruit community nodes.
This update also provided an opportunity to try out Cosmovisor and about two thirds of the validators showed they had used Cosmovisor.
Future Schedule
Now that the nibiru-3000 testnet has been successfully completed, the final adjustments will be made for the mainnet launch.
