Gamecock Confidential: Forever To Thee
The first episode of “Gamecock Confidential: Forever to Thee,” a five-part mini-series documenting the dawn of a new era of Gamecock Football under head coach Will Muschamp.
Episode One of the series covers the hiring of Coach Muschamp and his staff and documents their first spring on campus. The episode features offensive coordinator Kurt Roper and defensive coordinator Travaris Robinson wired at a practice session, and include interviews with Athletics Director Ray Tanner, Coach Muschamp, various players and SEC Network talent Paul Finebaum and Marcus Spears.
The video, produced by Gamecock Productions, was initially be distributed on South Carolina Gamecocks Facebook LIVE account, and was added to the official website of Gamecock Athletics, Gamecocksonline.com, upon completion of the debut.
The five-part series will air each Wednesday, beginning August 10, through Wednesday, September 7, following the Carolina Football program from Coach Muschamp’s hiring through the season opener at Vanderbilt on September 1.
Watch as Athletics Director Ray Tanner zeroes in on a new head football coach, Will Muschamp, and his new staff begin to shape their team in spring practice and the annual Garnet & Black Spring Game is held in Columbia.
Episode 2:
The team prepares for the season with a blistering summer program in the Columbia heat. Senior Mason Zandi has gone from 2-star-recruit to starting Left Tackle. Finally, the coaching staff hope to provide some perspective with a night of training at Fort Jackson in Columbia.
Episode 3:
The Gamecocks begin fall camp and the intensity level is at an all-time high. Co-offensive coordinator and wide receivers coach Bryan McClendon prepares his young group for the season ahead. Senior quarterback Perry Orth and Hayden Hurst’s friendship leads to a life-changing decision. South Carolina enters Williams-Brice Stadium for their first scrimmage of the fall.
Episode 4:
The series continues with the Gamecocks midway through their preseason preparations. See inside a staff meeting, meet the Carolina specialists, go to the Horseshoe with Bryson Allen-Williams, and go inside the headset for the final scrimmage of the preseason.
Episode 5:
The final episode of Gamecock Confidential features a segment inside coach Muschamp’s office as he breaks down film in preparation for the season opener at Vanderbilt. It also takes viewers inside a meeting room with coach Muschamp and the Gamecock safeties. Finally, the show gives exclusive pregame and postgame locker room footage.
