University of South Carolina Athletics IT Department- Darryl Dunham
Darryl Dunham is heading into his fifth year at The University of South Carolina and is a member of the Track and Field team. Dunham started out his college career at USC Beaufort before coming to USC. He specializes in middle distances events and is studying Computer Engineering.
Dunham is currently interning with the South Carolina Athletics IT Department. Dunham has mostly been working the help desk, answering phones or responding to tickets to make sure the athletics staff have their problems solved and the problems don’t affect their work. Anything the athletic staff needs Dunham is in charge of getting fixed so that nothing slows down within the department.
Dunham said that he enjoys getting his hands dirty so this internship is helping him see what some of the major issues are and what goes on in the work environment. He wants to work with building apps and producing different things outside of the classroom and see how he can improve the working world.
After graduation Dunham would like to work for a company that deals with software which would include building programs, apps, websites, and anything else that deals with coding. This internship has allowed Dunham to be creative and also helps him make sure other businesses benefit from what Dunham is making for them.
Dunham is a very smart and hardworking person who has big aspirations for himself. Who knows, Apple might end up getting a run for its money.
