GameCredits collaborates with fantasy sports giant FanDuel to present free World Cup tournaments

Fanduel announced a month long set of Fifa World Cup tournaments with $100,000 worth of GAME prizes

GameCredits is proud to announce a collaboration with FanDuel, the world’s largest fantasy sports company, to mark the 2018 FIFA World Cup. The collaboration with this billion-dollar industry leader will enable players to win GAME by participating in FREE-TO-ENTER fantasy soccer tournaments throughout the entire month of the world’s biggest sporting event.

The tournaments — which will feature a combined prize pool of US$100,000 worth of GAME and US$35,000 in cash prizes — begin on Thursday June 14, 2018, and will run until Sunday July 15. FanDuel will promote the tournaments during this time, and players who participate in the tournaments will be introduced to the GAME currency.

The GameCredits team is incredibly excited about this opportunity, as we’ve been eager to break into the fantasy sports market since industry pioneer Matt Fortnow joined GameCredits. Matt created the world’s first fantasy sports site — which he sold to CBS way back in 1999 — and has been at the forefront of the industry over the past two decades.

“Working with FanDuel presents an exciting opportunity to establish a presence among fantasy sports users and to continue to grow awareness for GameCredits globally,” Matt said of the collaboration.

Fantasy sports is an online competition where players compile their own teams using real athletes from major sports like soccer, basketball, and baseball. With a market cap of over US$7 billion, it’s one of the fastest growing sectors of the gaming industry. FanDuel has more than 6 million players and has delivered more than US$4.5 billion in player payouts to date, making it comfortably the world’s largest fantasy sports site.

We encourage our entire community to participate in these upcoming free tournaments for a chance to win some serious GAME prizes! As a reminder, the first tournaments start NEXT WEEK: Thursday June 14.

GAME on!
