Hello everyone and welcome to yet another report from The GameCredits Foundation.
Before we get started, we wanted to share a friendly reminder that the official GameCredits website is https://gamecredits.org
GWallet Shutdown and What it Means
- As you are likely aware, our former employers are shutting down GWallet by October 31, 2018. For any support regarding GWallet and withdrawing from it, please contact the MobileGo team.
- Users should migrate off of this web wallet immediately by sending coins from their web wallets to any of the following wallets: Coinomi,GameCredits-Core (QT), or Electrum-GAME. We do not advise keeping coins on exchanges for extended periods of time, but that is an available option also.
Details for this reporting period
- Trezor Model T support for GameCredits is expected to roll out this week — if you own this hardware wallet, keep your eyes open for a firmware update. Once your Trezor is updated, you can use it with Electrum-GAME and store your GAME on a hardware wallet!
- Trezor One support for GameCredits will come in a future firmware update also — the Trezor team is in the process of migrating the Model T codebase to work on the One. For more information about this, please reach out to Trezor.
- Ledger Nano S and Ledger Blue support for GameCredits is expected to release on November 6th via a firmware update on those devices. Similar to the Trezor, once the device’s firmware is updated users can use Electrum-GAME to store GAME safely on their Ledger devices. Actual release date can vary since this is a Ledger-specific release, but we will keep you updated if anything changes.
- We are still working on our new website and the budgetary proposals… stay tuned for more info on those in the near future.
