New Month, New Projects, New Challenges, New Games
September 2021 Newsletter by Gameful Life
September is one of the most colorful months of the year. And it seems that the colors outside reflect the dynamics and colors of our lives, even if significant parts of them for many of us happen inside.
It is undoubtedly the case for me, both concerning my work and personal life.
I started a new book project (which might result in a series of books) and a new publication on Medium containing the raw material for the book(s). This publication resonates with my followers on LinkedIn, and some exciting conversations began. The publication is called S1000D Implementation Map and has little to do directly with Self-Gamification and turning life into fun games, except maybe one article, which I share below with you.
But also on Self-Gamification and Gameful Life “front,” several things are happening. I am actively involved in the work of the International Gamification Confederation (GamFed). I am one of the four members of the current interim board. Starting with this week, I will be interviewing a couple of leading experts in gamification on behalf of GamFed and I am looking forward to our conversations.
I created several new self-motivational games for exercising and movement for myself, such as Push-Up (PU) and Knee-Push-Up (KPU) games and Walk Outside (WO) game. I also upgraded my Super Sleeper game. I am considering to share these and other self-motivational games and their updates at some point on Medium. I will inform you when I do.
So, I continue publishing on Medium on the topic of turning life into fun games. Drawing parallels between games and reality is one of my favourite topics right now and I like calling it Gameful Analogies. I am contemplating having a book with the same title some day, based on this material. Below you will find a couple of articles (among others) going in this direction.
