Our Lives are Specific Types of Games
Actual Real-Life Role-Playing Games and Choose Your Own Adventure Games
Anything in our lives is a game and, above that, a role-playing game. And further, it is a Choose Your Own Adventure game.
“Choose Your Own Adventure is a series of children’s gamebooks where each story is written from a second-person point of view, with the reader assuming the role of the protagonist and making choices that determine the main character’s actions and the plot’s outcome.” — “Choose Your Own Adventure,” Wikipedia
Every one of us plays many of these, as I call them, “actual real-life role-playing games” — which are at the same time also Choose Your Own Adventure games — simultaneously.
We can deliberately play additional (also actual) real-life role-playing games to enjoy our journeys more than we ever did before. You can play them wherever you are and whatever you are up to, either in succession or in parallel.
And as you learn about all these Actual Real-Life Role-Playing Games (introducing a possibly new acronym ARLRPG), both those you already play every day and those you might not have been aware of before, your view on life and reality might change from desperate, tedious and uncomfortable, to something you can enjoy designing and playing.
